Carole Warren S.R.N

I was born in Enfield but most of my upbringing was in Cumbria. After leaving Wyndham school I did my nurse training at Preston Royal Infirmary.  For 3 years I lived in South Africa before returning to Whitehaven and working on the Intensive Care Unit at West Cumberland Hospital. I joined Beech House in 1991 as a practice nurse. My areas of special interest are asthma and diabetes.

Away from Beech House I enjoy fell walking, gardening, and foreign travel.

I was born and brought up in Middlesex and then moved away, living in Lincoln, Sheffield, Oldham, Lancaster, South Manchester before finally settling here in West Cumbria for the past 18 years. During these moves I have worked as staff nurse and sister in surgery and also as a District Nurse.

My husband is an anaesthetist at West Cumberland Hospital and we have 2 children. My son is studying Mechanical Engineering and my daughter is studying Speech Therapy, both in Newcastle. I enjoy caravanning, playing bridge, food & wine, and motorcycling but only as a pillion passenger at the moment.

I am married with one little girl called Kate. She is now 6.
I worked at West Cumberland Hospital on Surgical wards for 2 years, then on the Medical unit for 3 years.
Whilst working nights at WCH I also took up a post at Beech House as a phlebotomist.
After many study days, courses and in-house training I developed
my role and became a treatment room nurse/ practice nurse, with the experience, help and support of Beech House multidisciplinary team.
Last year I also became a part-time School Nurse for 6 months (during my days off from Beech House).
At present I am studying on a course for Family Planning and Sexual Healthcare.

My hobbies are; enjoying life!
